For the first time, the new EROPA website (eropa.co) was ranked in the world's top 0.3% in terms of popularity, significantly improving on its January 2018 performance despite earlier forecasts that a change in domain name will lessen the number of people accommodated by our online services. Meanwhile, it has ranked nationally in the Philippines, the Netherlands, Cambodia, Greece, Japan, and India during the past year. The latter two countries are among the largest audience sources for the EROPA website to date. Using the ranking websites Alexa Internet (which ranks only the top 30 million or top 2.5% of live websites) and SimilarWeb, and comparing it with Internet Live Stats (which has the total number of live websites), the EROPA website's popularity has been monitored as EROPA's service range is being improved regularly.
This upward trajectory reinforces EROPA's strengthening online presence, and continuing relevance in the digital era. This good pace is expected to be maintained in the near future, considering the 2018 EROPA Conference will take place this September. China's modernization of its armed forces is proceeding faster than many analysts expected. This is especially true in terms of air and naval forces - the focus of China's modernization effort. Events in Europe mean that for the US Army, it is still largely Russian capabilities that provide the benchmark threat.
China's progress and technical abilities are remarkable - from ultra-long-range conventional ballistic missiles to fifth generation fighter jets. Last year the first hull of China's latest warship - the Type 55 cruiser (NATO codename Renhai) - was put into the water. Its capabilities would give any NATO navy pause for thought. China is working on its second aircraft carrier. It is revamping its military command structure to give genuine joint headquarters involving all the key services. In terms of artillery, air defence and land attack it has weapons that out-range anything the US can deploy. Elections to restore democracy have been postponed several times with November being the latest date set by Prime Minister Prayuth Chan-ocha, who was appointed by a military-backed legislature following a coup in 2014.
But a change in the election law by parliament last month means the date almost definitely will be pushed back to early 2019, something that has fanned growing discontent among groups who are calling for a swift return to civilian rule. India has an abysmal record in public health. It presently spends a little over 1% of GDP on public healthcare, one of the lowest levels in the world.
The insurance scheme announced in the federal budget - dubbed "Modicare" after Prime Minister Narendra Modi by his supporters - would cover more than 500 million Indians and provide 500,000 rupees ($7,825; £5,520) in medical coverage for each family annually.  In accordance to the decision made in the 63rd Executive Council Meeting in Seoul (September 2017), the EROPA acquired a new domain name - from eropa.org.ph to eropa.co. One month since this acquisition, the change in domain name did not affect the online services and performance of the organization. It even improved from its record last year.

This is a remarkable feat considering it is a new domain, and thus, it is the first recorded ranking for this domain. Ranked nationally in the Philippines and the Netherlands in 2017, it is ranked nationally in Cambodia, Greece, and Japan for the first time in 2018.
