Pan-suk Kim assumes ministerial position

Professor Pan-suk Kim was inaugurated as the Minister of Personnel Management by appointment of Korean President Moon Jae-in on 12 July 2017. He is the third to hold the said position since the ministry was established in 2014. The ministry was formerly known as the Ministry of Security and Public Administration (2013), and the Ministry of Public Administration and Security (2008).

As for Professor Kim, he served as the Editor-in-Chief of the Asian Review of Public Administration (ARPA) since 2009. The ARPA is EROPA's biannual journal. He was also the President of the International Institute of Administrative Sciences (IIAS) from 2010 to 2013, the first Asian to hold the position, and has been serving as the President of the Asian Association for Public Administration (AAPA) since 2010.
